How matching marketplaces work
What a matcher does and does not do, so you are not surprised when a local company — not a national brand — is the one who calls.
A matching site is a switchboard, not a contractor.
What we do
We collect the service, property type, timeline, and location. We introduce a pre-vetted specialist who covers that service area. We can send you a confirmation that the request was received.
What we do not do
We do not set the price of the work. We do not dispatch employees in branded vans (unless a specialist happens to have their own). We do not guarantee that a particular person will be available this afternoon.
Why that still helps
Most people do not have a trusted trade on speed dial. A matcher reduces the number of cold calls. The specialist still has to earn the job once they reach out.
If you would rather shop a public listings directory, that model exists. This template is intentionally a matcher.
