Ask four plain questions
- Are you licensed for this trade in this state?
- Who will be on site, and when can they arrive?
- What is included in the quote, and what would change the price?
- How do you handle follow-up if something is not right after the visit?
Matching vs. browsing listings
A matcher collects your details once and introduces a pre-vetted specialist. A listings directory asks you to call several shops yourself. Neither is magic. Matching is simply faster when you already know the service and the timeline.
Bring the basics
Have the property type, a photo of the issue if you have one, and a sense of urgency. Immediate, within 24 hours, within a week, or planning ahead — that single field changes how a local team staffs the day.
